Does anyone use the IK Multimedia Miroslav Philharmonik Orchestra? Is it good for today? Is it professional quality? Im looking for reviews. I don't know if there 24 bit samples or not. i'm looking into getting it. I know several years ago it was very good. Of course, this depends on the users skill.

several forum people (EO and P.I.E.) have picked it up recently and been having fun with it.
def big bang for the buck.
and like you said, with a skilled operator of its sounds, its going to sound good.
so like all these sample libraries, "Pro" quality is all relative to how skillfully you wield the tools, and maybe what you def of "Pro" is. Good enough to make money with? I would wager it is.

Thanks Andy and great to hear from you.
I must tell you though that it won't work on Logic 10 so if you've upgraded to x don't get this. I checked with "IK Multimedia" and I was told to hold off until NAMM but the price won't be the same. Also, I understand the samples aren't 24 bit but nether are my Kurzweil GM samples.
Happy Holidays,

hey thanks Alan.
no worries bout Logic X - I have to buy a new mac for that cause mine is old enough to not run the more modern OSX. so that will wait.
just for comparison - the samples in East West Symphonic Orchestra are 16 bit, as are the ones in LA Scoring Strings Lite version, and those all sound good. So 16 bit by itself isn't likely much of an issue.

Andy,
On a new computer have you had a chance to check out Drummer? That comes with Logic 10.

Drummer is one of my favorite new features of LPX.

Just a thought.
Edit: I think you may have a 2009 MacPro? So maybe these won't work for you.

Th Mac Pro is a 2007. 32 bit kernel only. OSX 10.6.8 end of the line.
But yeah I looked at those upgrades before on OWC. I am kinda stuck between 2 places - buying an older Mac and rolling the dice on AppleCare having ended or try to buy one of the newer ones. Also might go for a Mac mini or one of the other models.
Hopefully first quarter I'll w able to do something, but ya know family is first (well, as skiing

)
Thanks for the heads up Kayle.

I asked for a rather large Latin kit for DKD with the drums not the pads scrollable for Logic Remote. If a lot of musicians give feedback we might get it. For the drum kits we have the pictures but now the cymbal has the kick with one finger. Hay Andy, have you gotten into this yet? 10.1 has some updates.
I will ask IK Multimedia to see if they can tell prospective buyers if there's an upgrade price for after the announcement is made. Otherwise I think it's to risky because the price will most likely be a lot more. Has this gone to 64 bit yet. I haven't following it.
