Hi Guys,

Just wondering what you all are using for that tape stop fx? I'm using a Cubase and saw a few plugins out there but still undecided. Kind of need something real simple but will do the job.

Much appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Gavin, one way is to use Loopmash
you would have to export the part of the tune that becomes the tapestop as a wave file into the pool/project
then drag that part into loopmash and use the slur/stop effect
export that as a wave file into the project and crossfade it in

I use https://www.ableton.com/en/packs/pitch-drop/ but it won't do you any good in Cubase. Sorry.

Thanks Russell. Yeah maybe I could use the pitch editor in cuabse will check that option out.

I think a Stutter Edit form Izotope has that kind if effect ( and lots more). There is a free demo on their site. Might be just what your are looking for, or it might be overkill.

Thanks KC. Yeah that might be overkill. Anything looking complicated makes my mind spin. I got to keep it simple.

Hey Mojo thanks yeah I downloaded it. It was recommended for use with Cubase but haven't tried it out yet. Looks simple.
