Man, just got the DAW Remote HD from EUM Lab. It's working great with Logic, it also has templates for Pro Tools and most of the other DAWs. It's a software remote that works on your iPad that emulates the Logic Control Surface as well as many other control surfaces, Mackie etc... ,It connects via Wife and does everything you can do in the mixer as well handling auitomation features and it has a scrub wheel. All for $15. There's a smaller one for iPhone as well that just has transport controls. I've been using their metronome for iPhone for a few years, which is the best metronome in the world but just discovered this. Well worth it.

How are you using it? I've downloaded TouchOSC and Logic Remote, but haven't worked them into my routine yet.

Is it working out well? An excellent iPhone based DAW remote is on the list of things I really need to get. I'd considered buying that same app before but shyed away once I saw it hadn't been updated since 2012. Is it running smoothly and still compatible with the most recent versions of the DAWs?

Paulie, I got it for 3 reasons. First my full size keyboard isn't in front of my computer, so when I'm playing anything like piano or organ I have to scoot from the keyboard over to my computer to press play, arm the track, adjust volume etc... Second for anything requiring a live mic. This allows me to go into a separate room away from computer noise. And third, I'm left handed so I work the mouse with my left hand, plus playing guitar and piano are both pretty strenuous on your left hand, I've been workiing about 11 hours a day recording, practicing or just playing, and I can feel the tendonitis creeping back in. This allows me to do all the transport stuff, muting, soloing, adjusting faders, etc... with my right hand.

Joy, it's working as advertised so far. It looks like the iPhone version has been neglected and might not work so well but the one for iPad is different. It takes some learning, it does all the same things as the Logic Control and Mackie hardware units so there are 3 pages with a lot of buttons, multi-function buttons etc. The scrub wheel is great, works way better than trying to scrub with a mouse. So far the products I've tried from these guys are great. I love their metronome.
