Another video... this gets me caught up with my 2016 purchases.
I purchased this Cozart lap steel guitar on ebay for $79. There are several versions out there, I think it's a great intro to the lap steel at an unbeatable price.

Hah! Two tone knobs, cuz it's got nuthin' but TONE! That should sound bitchin', through an old Silvertone. My lap steel has a great-sounding P90 pickup and some nicer knurled chrome "dome" knobs, but the stoptail bridge keeps bending/shifting under C6 tension; I may have to go with some lighter strings. Mine was from Rondo, and I'd get another so I could have quick access to a couple of tunings, but they no longer offer the cool powder-coated steel stand that I bought for mine; it fits rather snugly and came with its own travel case. Interestingly, (or not) my SX-brand came with dots on the top AND side of the neck; there are also strap buttons at either end, for playing overhand, standing up-which I suppose is possible, if uncomfortable.
