Audio-Technica ATH-M50x Closed-back Studio Monitoring Headphones or Audio-Technica ATH-M20X
which are more true sounding? anyone hip to these? I need a really good set for mixing and comparing between monitors and headphones. I need to be able to really hear without going through playing work on 20 different things.

I have had the M50x for a few years and have been quite happy and content with them. Recently, I bought SonarWorks SoundReference ID for headphones, that certainly has made using those cans an even better experience

Slate headphones will enable you to eliminate monitors and quickly compare environments. Worth every penny.
