That's Great! I still have a cassette player from Radio Shack that I used to stripe a tempo that my old Roland sequencer would sync to for tempo changes in different songs and medleys.
Worked great until one time around 1986 I forgot to pop out the record protect tab on the cassette and during a concert I accidentally pressed the record and play buttons instead of just the play and erased the stripe, causing the sequencer to freak out and choose its own tempo. (Equipment tied to the hardware sequencer - Yamaha DX7, TX816, and RX11 drum machine) I continued the concert with just an acoustic upright piano.

Well, I didn't want to brag too much, but I did just pick up this sweet little piece of gear. That's right, 8 full tracks, dedicated controller and built in music holder thingy.
