Hi gang,
I have an iPod Touch and this new toy looks interesting. I'm just not sure how I could get it to connect to the soundboard at church? Would I still need to bring my amplifier if I can get this to work? I might get this for Christmas. Anyways, here's the link and I'm curious what you musicians think about it.

i haven't tried it myself, but i heard from a friend that it sounded thin a tinny. But as i said, i haven't heard it myself.

I bought the Peavy connector instead of the iRig connector cause the guy at Guitar Center said it cuased less feedback than the iRig. I returned it one day later after trying out both the Peavy model and the iRig model. I had very low expectations on the sound quality, but even those expectations weren't met. It sounded just awful.

I used to gig with a volume pedal and a Korg Pandora run direct to the PA, so I know it can be done, but in my opinion, iRig is a toy; you want something a little more rugged, with quick access to a number of useful sounds. A compact floor-based processor with integrated footswitches is probably your best bet. (it likely won't fit in your guitar case, though) It's also nice to have a small amp nearby, so you're less dependent on the monitor mix, though that's probably less of an issue at a church service, where you play the same room every week, heh.
