Hi all,

I have the opportunity to buy the Bluebird mic for 220. It has a nicely defined midrange and airy upper range if a little light on the low end. But it's a great deal. Anybody have recommendations one way or the other? I hate jumping at mics, it's such a sketchy proposition.

I have a Bluebird mic that I really like. It works well for me on vocals and guitar. I also used it on acoustic piano just to see what it would do. It was ok - but not great. Either way, definitely worth the 200 I spent on it.

For $200, I'd find a use for it. Don't underestimate the value of a great-looking microphone; believe it or not, some singers can get inspired behind a mic with the right mojo. Good-looking gear can attract studio clients, too.

I see them on Ebay all the time for that price. So from what I can tell that price is nothing special.

I would consider what you need a mic for before you buy one. Guitars? Vocals? Overheads? What?

I see them on Ebay all the time for that price. So from what I can tell that price is nothing special.

I would consider what you need a mic for before you buy one. Guitars? Vocals? Overheads? What?

They sell new with a warranty on Amazon for $299, that is not a very good used price....used in good shape should be $150 or less.......

If you have $220 then you are one fourth the way to a real mic like this one:

Save your money and buy a mic like this that you will use and like forever! If you like airy mics this is it. This mike is identical to a C12 which is a $8000 mic.

I quit trying budget mics a long time ago. It's not worth it.

It's not used. I got it for 197 new. I like it alot so far. But to give you guys the real scoop I'll have to track and mix with it for a while. I'll let you know. Otherwise it sounds like I can resell it for what I paid for it.

The problem is, sometimes you can buy a mic for a grand or 1500 and not like it. Honestly, I haven't found price to be a good indicator when it comes to mics.

$197 new, great deal, Let us know if it works for you....!!!!!!!! Can't have enough mics .....
