Last night somebody suggested we post the drinking songs we submitted to the "Drinking Songs" listing. What I realized after watching the episode is that my song ("Tequila Take Me Home") also fell into the category of "not really a drinking song," meaning, it isn't what you think of when you think of a drinking song. it was more tequila makes me think about home than it was "let's order a drink." And that fact alone was often what drove the +1 vs. a -1, at least for me. So, very informative episode.

And to think that I had other drinking songs that might have been more suitable but needed more work. Especially the one NSAI mentors loved. Darn!

It would never work for the listing, just a personal fun one ... needs to be mixed again (Left side heavy as it is now)

For reasons sorta similar to what you stated... though it was tempting... I didn't bother submitting this as a purely 'drinking' song; oh well.

Great song, Jay! I really like it! But I’m starting to think that “drinking song” means country. My song is more dance/rap and the screener thought I did have the drinking theme down, but the arrangement didn’t quite fit.
