I read it as a piece of parody/humor - an appeal to the 'high-hosts of the music industry'... whome'er they be :? :o 8-) :)
for what that's worth. A bit of the clever, even.
Cheers,
Peter

I don't put much faith in the Billboard charts, these days; they're heavily manipulated. If you want to know what people are actively listening to, head over to Spotify. There was a time when we discussed all the taboo subjects hereabouts; sex, politics, religion, the Picardy Third, etc. and very politely and respectfully so, but nowadays we leave that sort of thing to Facebook where it belongs.

Picardy Third... haha.

I remember my Music Theory 101 class-- my professor asked if anyone knew the name for the device of a major chord in place of the minor at the end of a piece... I was so excited to be the only one to raise my hand and blurt out "Picardy Third!" Except I thought it was pronounced "Pi-CARDY" as in "rhymes with Bacardi". I'd only seen the term in a book before.

My old professor said I was correct but then made fun of my pronunciation. It wasn't exactly like a scene from "Whiplash" but I was a bit humiliated all the same. heheh.

Oh Man, Ted. At least you knew (I haven't Googled-it yet)... too bad it couldn't have ended there.
Kinda reminds me of the first time I heard the term 'circle of fifths'...
and I thought it was a tourists' pub-walk in Dublin. Live and learn, eh? (Ok - Ok... I'll go look it up, already.) :? :o 8-)

Hmmm... might that mean that "Follow The Yellow Brick Road" was written for small-minded men? :? ;)
