Are revisions ever a thing?

greetings fellow taxi friends,
hope this finds everybody well.
so I just got some feedback:
β The track has a good premise, yet, it could benefit from a revision in the arrangement to get closer to the desired βModern Piano House/EDMβ character style of arrangement as referenced and requested in the listing.β
does this mean I should revise and resubmit?

No. It means consider revising it for another opportunity

Yup. But also keep in mind that the feedback on a submission is relative to the particular listing, in this case, βModern Piano House/EDM.β So it may
or may not be worth revising, depending on what you are submitting for in the future.
Best,

Casey

Hey Casey,
Good point.
I just started out with taxi a couple months ago. Im really enjoying the challenge of composing for the briefs. What Im realizing after lots of good feedback is that I really need to read the briefs and listen to the examples even more so I can be more aware of every little nuance and detail to successfully complete the submission.
Im on a sub mission

Absolutely!! That is the most vital point to recognize if you are to have your tracks forwarded. The screeners are simply trying to find what the library asked for -
according to the listing - and will filter out the rest. A 'forward' is no guarantee of anything further, but at least its then up to the library whether they want to take things further.
As mentioned, some of the detailed feedback might be aimed at getting a track closer to the specific listing it was submitted for, but other points could help more generally for all listings (or opportunities beyond Taxi), so use your judgement on what you choose to act on. Good luck with your submissions!

I've had several returned pieces forwarded on new submissions after making revisions based on screener feedback. Absolutely revise and resubmit to future listings!

I have had a bunch of tracks get forwarded the second time around, sometimes I revise and/or remix based on feedback, and sometimes I just leave it alone and resubmit. I don't change things according to every single word of the feedback on a return, but I do change obvious shortcomings that they point out, like arrangement, sound selection, that kinda thing........ I also wouldn't keep submitting, taking returns, revising, over and over again either.... At a certain point, ya just gotta move on. I have stomp and clap rock stuff that I have just flat out given up on and pulled down on here... Nothing wrong with that!
