I renewed my taxi membership last week for the 5th year, and yesterday I got word of b'cast placements - my first ones. I'd been sitting in several libraries for quite a while, and had gotten some up front fees, but no broadcast placements until now, so I have held off posting in this section.

As Mojo B says: Taxi is school. That is true! Thanks to all at Taxi, and to the many great ppl on the forum who have helped me and so many others begin to get on our feet in this business.

BTW, the placements were international (Japan) from a YEAR ago, and I was shocked at how little money they paid, considering they used 10 of my tracks! But it's enough to pay for another year of Taxi and Dispatch and then some, so I'll take it!

People talk about a 5 year plan here - this was 5 years to the week! My only regrets are: a.) that I didn't submit more in the first 3-4 years, and b.) that I didn't start earlier - I completely forgot about Taxi for like 15 years. Ouch!

Yeah! Nicely done. Money is money, and you're now generating revenue from music, so I'd consider that a win all around.

Yes, cash is cash! I haven't been able to nail down info about reruns/royalties in Japan, but hoping there's more to come from these placements. thanks Matt!

As I said, I wish I had submitted more in the first few years. I'm sure I would be further along had I done. But, only so many hours in the day.
