I got another placement in an Indie film called Dara Ju---!
This is with a new library to me...

If you doubt the value of Taxi- this is how this happened..
A TAXI member, who I had seen on the forum, and on a couple of facebook groups ( but really didn't know) saw a youtube live stream from a publisher who was looking for Cocktail Jazz.
He sent me a note via facebook... saying I should check this out... I watched the youtube clip and sent this publisher a number of tracks. Unfortunately, his company is exclusive, and all the tracks I sent were already signed. BUT, he loved what he heard and we connected on the phone for about an hour. I agreed to write 5- 10 tracks (Exclusive for him).
Then he came by last years Rally so we could meet face to face and have a drink.

Long story short, I delivered the first 5 in January, and the second six in May. This placement was a Piano Jazz Trio from the first batch...


Please don't tell me Taxi doesn't work.... FORUM + RALLY = RELATIONSHIPS & FRIENDS HELPING FRIENDS+ NEW OPPORTUNITIES+ PLACEMENTS ==$$$$$$

Congrats, Bob, that is awesome!! Taxi really is the best of the best. I have had similar experiences - I recently signed with a couple publishers and wrote an album for one of them and it all started with a connection in these forums. Trust the formula! The Taxi community is filled with some of the absolute kindest and most generous people I have ever met, it truly is a wonderful place.

And of course, this is yet another reason why these forums are such a major source of success for so many of us who hang out here. I still can't believe that there are thousands of Taxi members who don't take advantage of this little corner of the internet!! Oh well, more pie for us, I suppose.
