Some great news! I just found out I had one of my solo piano pieces placed on CBS Sports! It is a placement supporting the first black woman to become a brigade commander in the US NAVY. I am honored to have my music under such an important an significant moment in history. Thank you to one of my publishers I met through a TAXI connection at the road rally for doing the work to make this happen. Here is the 2:19 second placement https://fb.watch/2oN-fH1gNO/ The cue "All That Remains" you can also listen to here https://app.box.com/s/ouhct1oj2k5xhbertj3uw2e3204x5z15 and has also been placed on the BTN network over 100 times.

To date I now have over 1000 placements on film and television and some of my recent artist and composer credits now include music placed on NBC, CBS, BBC, Netflix, HBO, A&E, AMC, The Discovery Channel, The History Channel, MTV, Bravo, BTN, HGTV, and the DIY Network. My music has also been placed in Canada, USA, England, Peru, Germany, Denmark, Russia, Spain, The Netherlands, France, Japan, China, Sweden and Australia.

I know I have not posted here much over the past while but I just wanted to check in to show how far I have come on this journey so far since 2013 and to keep going and never give up. I am also posting for those of your that are just starting out with Taxi or are at a frustrating stage (I was there more than once). Keep going. Spend time here on the forums in peer to peer, Taxi TV and go to the rally! I am so thankful for those that told me this in the beginning and now I am telling you. Write submit forget repeat. Battle that resistance. "Work hard in the trenches and take care of yourself in the meantime" Thanks Andy Gabrys for that one.

Thank you to Michael and the TAXI staff for creating something special that gives us hope in this business, and in my case, a real career, doing what I love, making money from songs and cues in film and TV.

Write on my friends!

Hey Robbie

What are the money makers in your portfolio? What genre, what style?
There must be a difference between Hip-Hop cues and, say, calliope instrumentals, I presume? :)

Hey Tom,

Solo piano, solo guitar and combo, tension cues and indie folk, singer/songwriter songs are all working well for me. Sometimes swampy bluegrass too.

Thanks for letting us know, Robbie! Since I don't play any useful instruments and my singing voice is cringeworthy, I will have to continue to focus on other genres. :)
