Hi folks. I finally found actual proof of my ad that ran back in April/May.

This was for a Northeast ad buy that covered major markets like Boston, NYC and Philly to name a few. This was placed through a library I heard about at the 2016 Road rally. Funny how a 3 and a half minute vocal song with a bridge etc is reduced to a simple hook "Feels like Home" . If you like the song please give it a thumbs up on youtube. Thanks!

EDIT 7/14/21- Just found 2 more usages of my song in a Raymour and Flanigan ad. Looks like between the 3 spots there are over 13 million views. Some of my peers on another channel have had similar spots and they're talking some very exciting figures.

Maybe you mentioned this before, but did you have trouble collecting your PRO money on this? I've heard stories of this being a problem with ads.

Good point on collecting$.

The particular library that got this placement does mainly advertising, and they have a detection system. They explained to me that they'll make a manual claim with my PRO. Not sure how it all works but I'm also going through that same process with another library for a TV promo in Germany. It had to be "manually claimed" by my publisher through the sub-pub. I kinda wonder if I would've gotten paid if Tunesat hadn't caught the usages.

Thanks Mark! Fingers crossed for sure. I noticed the youtube ad has gotten 2.5 mil views so curious how much TV coverage it received. Time will tell.

The :15 second cutdown the library did. They actually paid me after the fact to do a :30 alt version with just vocal and Uke. But as far as I know it didn't get used. oh well..

Yes you're right, it's always interesting to me to see what portion/s of a song gets used. When I wrote the song, in the back of my mind I was thinking hotel/road trip/air travel/real estate and tried to keep it in that lane. The ad agency used Google to help them determine how the song should sound (ukulele and vocal), but they ran with the full mix. Go figure!
