It's not often that I have library owners reach out to me with video clips using my music - usually I just look at my quarterly royalty statements to find out what's been used and on what shows. But every now and then I have a little treat waiting in my inbox. A library owner just sent me this clip yesterday. My music runs for the first 18 seconds. It's a custom vocal track that we created more specifically for "Million Dollar Listings" on Bravo, but that network uses a production team that's in charge of all sorts of shows. So, this song that was created for one program was used in a different show entirely ("Summer House"). You just never know how this stuff is gonna shake out! All you can do is keep making more music!!

Thanks guys! And Mark - I'm not sure what the royalty rate would be for something like this, though I think it would probably be considered a "featured vocal" which would bump it up into a higher pay tier. Eh, we'll see. Regardless, I'm splitting the money with the vocalist, so I'll probably still make less money than I would by getting 100% of the lowest tier background instrumental placement, haha.
