Hey folks!

I have been away for a while, but I am back with a very cool success: The Mozart aria (Der Hölle Rache by the Queen of the Night) that Katleen Dugas and I produced over two years ago is now running in an internet/social media only ad by Apple (yes, THE Apple of iPhones and such!). I like how they put the Mona Lisa in at the end: Two of the most recognizeable and iconic cultural achievements ever - this aria and the ML. Mozart and Da Vinci. That is why I always believed in the potential of this track. For the full version of the aria go to my SoundCloud (see below).

Katleen and I are not TAXI members anymore, but we were in the past and met because of this forum.

Fun facts:
1. The production was done entirely with free software and VIs.
2. Katleen was not pitch-corrected (because she sang perfectly).
3. Peter Rahill / funsongs made this possible (he knows, how).

I'm curious as to whether you knew about it being pitched for this ad, or if you found out after it was all done?

We knew since end of March that it had been pitched, since the library tells you pitch activity in your account. Then they came back with questions a couple of weeks ago, because this track runs on an exclusive limited term license, while this particular library usually only does non-ex.

Congratulations to both of you, I think you've overachieved on your goals now Tom. Not only TV placements but now a reknowned brand beloved by content creators has paid to use something you made.

Also kudos for making on a PC with a free DAW and plugins...sticking it the Apple fanboys
