Member Deals 2/1/2008 - 2/29/2008Steve M. (Chicago, IL)-TAXI Members Steve & Karen M. have recently confirmed that they’ve signed licensing deals with more than seven different music libraries. Deals thus far have ranged from placements on CBS’s “CSI”, music in opening and closing credits of “Ossobucco” (Riverwest Films) starring Illeana Douglas and Mike Star. Their song ‘Look Out For Love’ was also added to a 3-disc Jazz compilation album for distribution in Europe.Here’s what they said: “Everybody thinks their material is great, but a brilliant resource like TAXI is the key to getting perspective and putting your music to the test. (Boulder City, NV)-After attending the TAXI Road Rally in November 2007, Justin was able to make a significant connection, which led to a 5-year contract and 10 of his songs signed with an Independent Label that specializes in film/TV placements.Jake H. (Gibsonia, PA)-Jake’s band Donora recently signed a contract with a production company who was looking to quickly place their songs on a new reality/documentary series which will be aired on the world's largest and most powerful music cable network.Freddy L. (Alberta, Canada)-Freddy was recently contacted by the Host of an established and popular radio show highlighting U.S. Indie artists/bands. Freddy’s music will be aired on a weekly Rock Radio Show, the No. #1 CHR [Current Hit Radio] Radio Broadcast Network in Europe/Germany with over 10 million listeners!Kathleen S. (Astoria, OR)-Kathleen’s Rag Time songs ‘Liberty Rag’ and ‘Dixie’ were signed by an established Music Publisher in Los Angeles.Stephen B. (Jacksonville, FL)-Stephen signed 2 R&B songs and 3 Hip-hop songs with the Owner of a Production Music Library.Here’s what Stephen had to say: “I have been a TAXI member for about 5 months and I can say that TAXI is easily the best investment I've made in my music in a long time.”Robert R. (Santa Barbara, CA)-Robert’s song ‘I Should’ve Run To You’ was signed by an online educational company (based in the UK and accredited by one of the world’s leading & largest vocational awarding organizations) that specializes in audio engineering and music recording training.Jean C. (Quebec, Canada)-Jean’s song ‘Deux Millions D’etoiles’ was recently placed on the USA network show “Monk”, which aired on Friday, February 1st.Jean recently added that he signed another song with the LA-based Music Publisher/Library that placed his other song already.“I'm a member of Taxi since september 2007 and I'm surely convinced, it's the best thing I've ever made in my over-30-years musical life. I'm 60 years old (who hoo...) and I've record 6 albums with my own songs on the Quebec market and I was ignored by the music industry of Québec all the time since 1973. (Natick, MA)-Glenn’s song ‘Flexible Flyer’ was used in the documentary “I Love What I Do.” He also had his song ‘Shoulder Blade’ used in episode 29 of the Internet show “Quarterlife,” which has now been picked up by NBC.Glenn S. (Natick, MA)-Glenn has recently signed more songs with a LA-based Music Library, now totaling 11 songs with them.Joseph R. (Brandon, MS)-Joseph’s band Red Hill City signed their very first publishing deal through TAXI with the President of an LA based Music Publishing company.Chet N. (Northbrook, IL)-Chet signed a 20 song publishing deal with an East Coast Music Publisher/Library with purposes of placing/licensing his songs in Film/TV projects.Chet N. (Northbrook, IL)-Chet signed 14 of his instrumentals with an Independent Music Distributor that represents North America who license completed CDs from talented artists from around the world.Michel G. (Quebec, Canada)-Michel’s song ‘Thank You Louis’ will be included on an upcoming Swing Jazz CD box set with Sony/BMG in Poland. This was a result of a forward to an Independent Label who licenses music for multi-CD compilation projects.Michel G. (Quebec, Canada)-Mike had 3 French Blues songs, and 1 French Waltz song signed with a Music Publisher in Los Angeles who he’s already established a relationship with through his initial forward at TAXI. The songs that were signed were ‘Les méchants loups,’ ‘Tout l'monde s'ennuie,’ ‘Si tu m'aimes’ and ‘Melancholy French Waltz.’Sam R. (Australia)-TAXI Member Sam R. signed 4 songs with the Owner of a Production Music Library based in Texas.Ken M. (Glen Burnie, MD)-Ken was contacted by an LA-based Music Library and signed his song ‘Billy Dee’ with them.Tom W. (Atlanta, GA)-Tom recently signed a 3 song publishing deal with an LA-based Music Library.Al S.
