hey folks, its Taeko again ! i cant believe it !!! my Forwarded Kings of Leon tracks (pls see Forward section post for tracks) brought me a nice deal. the forwards happened only last week (friday) !
i had my first contact from another company YESTERDAY and I got another email from a new company TODAY!! 2 deals in one week. how cool???
one more step closer to
moment...
for making these tracks i wasn't confident at all. Kings of Leon is one of the bands who are hard to mimic. every song sounds different and unique vocals are the only common element in their signature sound. i studied and interpreted one of their hits and did what i can.. still i wasn't happy with how it came out. i didnt post the tracks in PTP or show to Matto, cos i was feeling bit embarrased to show something which wasnt my strongest. but Taxi found them pretty good, so i got more confidence.
Thank you TAXI !!!!!! im on fire.. Im bit panicked in what to do.. very good feeling indeed.
this was the listing i went for.
CONTEMPORARY ALT/INDIE ROCK INSTRUMENTALS in the range from Kings of Leon to Silversun Pickups to Yeah Yeah Yeahs, etc., are wanted by a West Coast-based Music Library whose clients include Xbox, Microsoft, Visa, Clorox and more. Instrumental presentation must be top-notch! They offer a standard non-exclusive, 50/50 deal and they don't acquire your song's copyright. Songs must be broadcast quality (great sounding home recordings are OK). You must control the publishing and master rights to your instrumentals - no samples that require clearance, please. Please submit one to three instrumentals online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than Thursday, January 28, 2010. TAXI #S100128IR
