Wow! Dispatch is fast!!!! Got an email from a publisher yesterday about a song I sent in last week for the Singer/Songwriter, Acoustic Instrumental ala Ryan Adams listing. What a great way to start the week
Funny thing is, I still haven't heard if it was forwarded from Taxi yet.............I wonder if it will be. Haha

Anyway, I'm pumped!!!! I've had a decent amount of forwards and this is the first response I've gotten in a LONG time!

The song is called "Contemplation."

Are you sure it was from this listing? I was contacted this week from a much earlier forward on a Dispatch acoustic instrumental. It seems a bit too soon on this one, especially since we haven't been statused yet.

In any case, IT'S ALL GOOD!!!

It has to be. I haven't done another acoustic instrumental that I can remember. Plus, the publisher mentioned a Singer/Songwriter listing for MTV shows. The listing was for a popular teen pregnancy show (16 and pregnant on MTV).

Did he specifically say it was for a Teen Pregnancy show in his email? If so, I'm obviously wrong.

That's the same contact I got the other day(?). I think you should carefully check your submission history. My guess is you had an acoustic forward a long while back--- late in '09.... But I could be wrong...

Actually, oops. It is for this listing. I forgot about the part in the email where they asked me if my song "Contemplation" was registered with ASCAP. Well that clears it up
