2 Forwards and A Contract

Hi Everyone! I am new to the forum and I just joined Taxi about 8 months ago. I submitted six songs right after joining and one of them was forwarded to a west coast record label. I wasn't contacted by the label. After playing a brutal schedule and releasing a new project, I took a much needed break from my music at the start of this year and I really wasn't aggressive in submitting at all. I think I sent six more tunes at the beginning of February. I received notice in March that I was again forwarded but this time to a New Jersey Film/TV Library. A couple of weeks later I received an email from the Library requesting to hear more of my tunes so I referred them to my site. I was contacted two days later and offered a non-exclusive deal to place my songs in their library.
I then contacted my lawyer and we combed through the contract and submitted a few questions. I also phoned Taxi and spoke to someone about the library and got their opinion as well. After submitting the questions, the library answered all of them and I signed the contract in late May. I had to go back with my producer and we remixed all of the tracks from the project minus vox because having both verisions is expected in ad and tv/film placements. Shortly after, I received notice from the library that 14 of my songs were placed in their A-List. Now, it is a waiting game to see where the music gets licensed but because the deal was non-exclusive, I am able to keep shopping all of my music. I will keep you posted on what happens from here on out but I wanted to share the success story with you. Since getting this offer, I have become extremely motivated. I am now joining Dispatch, upgrading my studio and getting aggressive with submissions.
Just wanted to share the news! Keep working hard friends!!!!
