Notifications for Private Messages

Hi,
Is there a way to get email notifications when someone sends you a private message? Sometimes I may not check my Taxi forum profile for a few days. Occasionally, I check in but I do not necessary know when someone messages me.
Also whenever I send a PM to someone it stays in my outbox. Shouldn't it appear in my sent messages box? I am not sure if people are getting my messages.

Yes I always get an email when I've been PM'd - I don't recall if it's something I set up or whether that was on by default
Your sent messages will sit in the Outbox until the recipient reads it

Thank you. For some reason am not getting any email notifications for PMs. It's not in my spam folder so I have find out what I am missing. I appreciate it.

First check your settings for the forum. User Control Panel-->Board Preferences-->Edit Notification Options. You want to make sure the notification options you want are selected.
If a message you sent is in your Outbox and not Sent Messages, it hasn't been read yet by the recipient. Not everyone reads their PMs in a timely manner. I just sent you a test message.
