Vintage country forward

Post by Tragamite » Sat Apr 20, 2019 3:01 am

I got two songs forwarded with Y190131VC vintage country 1940-1980. My question with this is what happens next? Will someone outside taxi be contacting me? What do I need to know about"the next step"??

hi, the next step is write another song and submit to another listing :)

Make sure you have signed up for a PRO but aside from that it's just a waiting game, best to forget all about it and keep on keeping on. They'll contact you when they do. Or not. Either way its on to the next!

hope that helps!
Jay

P.S. Congrats on your two Forwards!

Congratulations, Tragamite!
From what I understand, you should be willing to answer your phone from unknown numbers, because it may be from the person who requested the music. I just had my first forward, and I have no idea how long it will take. However, as Jay said, the important thing to do is to keep writing more songs for the listings, because it could take anywhere from weeks to years to hear from the people who ran the listing. I think TAXI's record is seven years to hear back from a forward. So, hang in there and remember the formula: Write. Submit. Forget. Repeat.
Way to go!
Merry

Hi Trag. Congrats on the forward!

For those vintage listings a lot of times it's one particular company. Can't say their name...But I've had good dealings with them before (if it's the same company ;) ) for some of my 90's country.
If they decide the song fits their need they will reach out to you and have an in-depth conversation. They want to make sure all your ducks are in a row as far as ownership of copyright and any vocal releases. By the way they will apply for a new copyright so you don't have to worry about filing one if you haven't already.

Again congrats and I hope it turns into a deal for you! Best, John
