After my 1st Rej/critique, I realize that I need assistance from one more musically gifted. My blessing is lyrics, not voice or music. I do have a guitar, but use it to get a basic idea of the tune. Hooks and stronger choruses, etc. zoom right over my head. So, any ideas? I am talkin' w TomT and garibaldi. More thoughts may help me out, though.
I shall wipe every tear from their eyes....

I dunno... are you building the song in a way that the verses build into a B-part, and peak in the chorus? Vocally, that's appealing.

Hey! I found some really useful information about songwriting through Alex Forbes' website...http://www.creativesongwriter.com/products.htmJust fill in your email addy at the bottom of the page and you'll get to download (for free!) her articles on songwriting. I took some songwriting coaching classes from her (the best money I've spent so far on my songwriting career) and found her to be so incredibly helpful. -Susan.
