Re: What are you guys using for drum tracks?
I think Mazz' comment was about drummers rushing a fill, not questioning the ability to slow or speed up a drum fill in a sequencer. Hence: Drummers seem to be notorious for this on a fill and immediately drag in the measure or two following a fill. And to offer a fair and balanced playing field, guitarists( I am one) are notorious for not being able to read music.Hence the old joke, "How do you get a guitarist to turn down?Put a chart in front of him. Sorry we butchered your joke, Mazz. You know, with the drum plug-ins as good as they are, it kind of puts an ironic twist on the old joke:Q: How many people are in a typical rock-n-roll band?A: Four; three musicians and a drummer (ba-dum, ching!)

Yes you can. Like jonathan said, they're similar to rex files. Just more exactitude at where they cut the transients. So, like rex files they speed up pretty good, but if you slow them down too much, that's where you start hearing problems. I just like the unmistakeable feel of a great drummer and the sound of a great room. They are less flexible for sure but for now I really like it. No doubt at some point I'll have a new favorite.

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

Sorry, that one went right by...duh...Been busy! I guess all sequencers, VSTs and drum machines should have a "Beer Quantize" function....Keith
