Yessss I LOVE THIS. Ok I don't know if I mentioned this book to you yet or not, but "High Performance Habits" by Brendon Bruchard literally changed my entire outlook and trajectory this year. It deals with all of that stuff - keys habits for long term longevity in your field. Can't wait to hear how it all goes... keep me posted.

Hope your Christmas was great - happy new year for next week!
You did not - but I'm adding it to my list!! Thank you :) I've read a handful of books in that area but not that one yet. The first one that got me hooked was "The Power of Habit", that one rocked my world. I just finished up another amazing one, "Atomic Habits". That one too is quite the game changer. Already seeing some great results.

Looking forward to 2019 and seeing everyone's successes!

How does a move like that work with your existing Libraries and ASCAP registrations ?

Not thinking of doing the same - just curious!

Thanks for sharing these book titles. I located all 3 and saved them on Scribd. I am looking forward to reading them. Thanks again!
Onward and upward!

I'm with Razor7Music, my main goal for 2019 is to build my catalog. That has been working the best for me so far.

If can do one new song/collaboration/co-write a week (possibly two a week but I want to be realistic), I will increase my catalog by 50 songs. It would also be ideal to get them all signed by varous music libraries.
Nice! Great goals. How many were you doing when you started out (if you don't mind me asking)? Trying to dip back into songs myself but I know my speed will probably be pretty slow to start. Attempting to set some realistic goals. Ha
I don't remember the actual number, but I was trying to write about 1-2 songs per month when I first started with TAXI.

I decided to leave all of my registrations with ASCAP. I will still get paid for those registrations when royalties are accounted for. I just will not be able to register any new works with them.

I am going to start anew with BMI. I feel excited.

Hi, Anna!
My goals? Write music every day, expand my catalog, three submissions a week, and start getting placements!
Hope everybody can make their goals in 2019!

For me that would be improving my workflow...anything from organising my favourite presets, creating better templates, learning more keyboard shortcuts in my DAW, trying to commit to a sound and properly edit stuff as early as possible (as opposed to 'let's fix that later') asf.

Haha nice. I have the opposite problem... get too caught up in the editing stages rather than just getting the main thing done. Something I'm working on!
