...and, Barry, the mp3 says the artist is Big Blue Shoes, but since (I'm assuming) it's just you and Logan on that one, shouldn't it be Big Blue Rain?(Yeah, or Big Blue Rayne, but then you get into that problem from "That Thing You Do": "See, it's the One-ders, like the number one?" "Got it; looks like the Oh-nee-ders.")

Re: what do you recommend for drums?
thanks guys... Actually jonathanm, it IS a Big Blue Shoes song and we hired Logan to do the vocals for us. Big Blue Shoes is myself and my best friend in the whole world (other than my wife) Joel Shoemake. We normally do more of the pop/tween/rock stuff - http://www.myspace.com/bigblueshoes . Short version... I believe this was the first song we ever wrote together, it was a little over a year ago. It was the first song I ever tracked in Pro Tools from start to finish. We had hired another session vocalist to do the song originally, sometime back around June of last year. He did a great job, but after Joel heard Logan on the song that he and I did together, he was like "DUDE! You think he'd sing on our song?" So we hired him last week. We couldn't be happier with the job that Logan did. Total pro that guy is. And over the last couple of months, someone that I now consider a good friend. We have a few more co-writes in the works right now so we are going to need to come up with a name for our stuff. I also wanted to re-track the song so I could submit it to the Modern Rock Producers dispatch listing. We ended up raising the key one full step and bumping up the tempo another 4bpm. I re-tracked everything and then Joel and I came up with the string parts. You can hear the original version at our myspace page if you're interested.Sorry to hijack the thread, back to our normally scheduled programming... Superior Drummer 2.0 rocks!- Big Blue

Anyone A/B them?Personally, I think AD is better than EZ Drummer.AD has built in fx and a very intuitive gui.Superior Drummer is a step up over EZ and takes back the lead.Any of them will get the job done.Hey Barry,I like that last tune with Logan.Do you now what he uses (mic, pre, etc.) in his vocal chain?

Re: what do you recommend for drums?
I haven't used AD but I watched a quick video on YouTube of it. Just based on that video, I would agree with RLD. Ad is probably better than EZ, but Superior is better than either of them. But any of them should be able to get the job done. The real key is what you do with the drums AFTER you've got the grooves in place (EQ, Verb, Compression, etc...).thanks RLD, and funny you should ask about the vocal chain.. I emailed him today asking him that exact same question! I'm awaiting his response... - Big Blue

Re: what do you recommend for drums?
For me, Addictive Drums is the best compromise between flexibility, sound quality and speed/ease of use. IMHO it nails that sweet spot where you can get an excellent track really fast.EZD and SD have a wider variety of expansions available at the moment, so if you need that they may be a better choice.
