What genre might this song be????

Post by jmkSlyder » Tue Mar 12, 2024 12:54 pm

Hi Everyone,

I have a song called "Hero" and am trying to determine how to classify the genre for this song. Also, what ala bands would this song be compared with? BTW....this is not for any current brief.

Thanks for your response and help!

oops... that link only leads to the dreaded "404 Error".
Maybe fix and try again.

Peter,
I am no longer a Taxi member...maybe that's why you got a 404 message. Can't believe they prohibit former members from posting on the forum...

I've not-yet rejoined, either; but this is a public forum.
Another, more-direct way, is to copy the URL from your Soundcloud account (or other social media?)... then you can embed it right in your post,
then folks don't have to go hunting for it - it looks like this: (pardon the shameless example)

Thanks for your response and info, Peter! I use SongCast for music distribution but "Hero" has not yet been released. I listened to "Night Skies".....very smooth, rhythmic vibe.

I know it's not as easy as listening to an embedded URL, but If you could click on my dropbox link to "Hero" and give it a listen, I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks again, Peter!

Cool Track!

I am getting an Americana/"Alt Country" vibe from this one.... But it could work for a singer/songwriter listing as well....
