Also, statistics gathered from the past 15 road rallies show that bringing toothpaste, deodorant, and changes of socks & underwear dramatically increase your chance of success networking with peers and industry folks. ;) :P

All of my good songs have been signed with other labels, so what do I put on my CD? Should I include those songs that are signed to demonstrate the genres and quality?

Thanks for the advice!

I noticed this went unanswered, so...there's nothing wrong with bringing examples of your signed material, as long as you're clear about it, in writing and right on the disc where everybody can see it, AND you can readily produce more of the same. In fact, I think I'd rather hear your signed stuff, not that I'm looking. HTH

I agree that you can have SOME already signed tracks on your CD. However, what I wouldn't advise is a CD with ALL your tracks already signed. That might irritate the exec who gets the CD since you are showing them all tracks they can't have. They might not even listen. I would say, for example, you may have a CD with 8 tracks, 2-3 already signed. That would make more sense IMHO.

Thanks, Casey, that's very helpful. I'll be there this November, 2015! (with rubber bands at the ready) :D
