What to expect after a forward?

Hello everyone,

My name is Vic. I am a totally new member to Taxi and am extremely excited and grateful to be here hustling with the rest of you music makers. I just finished getting my FIRST forward and am both excited and a little lost as to what to expect next.
1) When music gets forwarded how does the industry person typically contact you? Via phone, email, Taxi...?
2) What are some process that take place after a forward? Do I have to submit my ASCAP info? Have an attorney to sign a contract? Does I have to copyright the music?
3) When the music gets placed how do I collect royalties or any other compensation (License Sync Fee)?

Any help is extremely appreciated and my apologies in advance for these very elementary questions
