When is Motif Too much? SCARY, GHOST-HUNTING
Hi Guys
I'm always confused by the Motif request in listings, working on some tracks for the SCARY, GHOST-HUNTING Style UNDERSCORE INSTRUMENTAL CUES
But the referenced tracks don't have much of a motif going on, and when i put a motif in, it just seems to take it away from that genre of track.. Can the chord structure be the motif or do you need some sort of melody as a top line motif, would love to hear what you guys think
Cheers
Al

No answers here but I agree with you.
Regarding motif, it seems like this is one of those listings where the examples given don't match the description given.
It leaves me trying to guess what's the right direction to go.

I didn't hear any motifs at all in the examples, until (upon relistening) I heard a harp or something in one of them, but the clip was too short to see if it repeated or developed.

Congrats! I got a forward with the (motifless) one I sent. I had another one with a very simple motif that wasn't ready in time to send.AlCompose wrote:Hi Mike, yeah it was a tough one to call, I got one forward from it, submitted 2 pieces.. Al
Let's see if they do another similar listing later this year.

I've already found Dispatch (which i just joined) seems to have more underscore listings, which is my thing.
I've seen two ghost hunter listings during my year at Taxi so I'll keep my powder dry until the next one.
