Where to download high quality reference tracks

Post by muzza » Sat Oct 29, 2022 5:07 pm

Hi, I have recently purchased OZONE 10, and wondering where the best place is to purchase or download top quality instrumental tracks ideal for sync in different genres. Particularly I'm looking for Piano/Strings at the moment. thanks M :?:

There is an app called "Audio Hijack" available at rogueamoeba.com. I use it all the time to capture audio for exactly what you are trying to do. It is very powerful and can capture the audio from any application. You only need 30 seconds or so (maybe less) for Ozone to complete its analysis.

What DAW do you use? I am a Reaper user and you can record internal audio by switching temporarily to the windows (wasapi) driver but I have no idea if that works in other DAWs.
This is how it works in Reaper:

1. Change audio device to WASAPI.
2. Change mode to Shared Loopback.
3. CAUTION: Turn monitoring off otherwise it will feedback like crazy!!
4. Open up a new track and set its recording input to stereo.
5. Start recording.

PS. if the recorded audio's speed sounds off make sure your DAW is not stretching your audio to your project's tempo.

Hope it helps.
Owen

There is a Chrome Plugin called Chrome Audio Capture that will record whatever audio is playing in a specific tab

I was actually wondering the same thing. I got some MP3s from some sites on the internet but I'd definitely prefer higher fidelity if I'm using it for a reference in Ozone. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give AudioHijack a try.
