Hello,

I'm going to be getting a sampler sometime soon. I'm thinking of either Halion 3 or Mach 5. I'm currently using Logic 5.5 on PC (windows 2000).Does anyone have any thoughts, suggestions, recommendations about which way I should go?

thanks
alexsunny
Hi Alexsunny,
If I were you I would first upgrade my computer & DAW.
Cheers,
Matt

Just curious, how are you using Logic on PC, it only works with Mac as far as I know.

I think before Apple bought Logic it actually worked on PCs.

Yeah like Matt said...Logic was made by a company called Emagic and was the successor to C-lab Notator and C-Lab Creator which were two very popular sequencers on the Atari ST

Logic was available on Mac & PC until Apple bought the company in the early 2000's and promptly killed the PC version much to annoyance of many long time users who were not Apple fan boys.

I think 5.5 was the last version although iirc Magix bought the PC code and marketed it as their own DAW for some time afterwards.

I would go the way of the computer shop and get something up to date that will run today's software.
