Wisconsin Venues? Radio Stations? Record Stores?

Post by silverorlead » Wed Sep 26, 2007 8:31 pm

Hi all! I'm pretty new to the forums, but I'm branching out of my hometown of Chicago for the first time, I've started to book a few dates for performances around Wisonsin. I was wondering if anyone here had any favorite places / radio stations / record stores in the great Cheese State that I should look into booking?Thanks!-Brian

Hey Brian:My yankee husband is from Beloit, WI. He recommends you check out Madison. Great college town with stations, etc, and I think your tunes would fit in well there. I can find out more from him when he gets back. He's away currently.

Thanks Squid! I definitely will check it out, I inadvertantly booked my first gig like 8 hours from Chicago so now I'm trying to schedule my way out there and back!

Hi Brian,I live in Milwaukee, and I know there are loads of venues around here-- Miramar, UWM (University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee), Shank Hall, etc. Depending upon what kind of music you do, you might also look into Alverno College's programs and some of the other local universities (Cardinal Stritch University). Good luck to you!Raags

All of the university towns in Wisconsin are good. Ann Arbor, MI, too.
