TAXI #U121030HHSUCCESSFUL HOLLYWOOD MUSIC LIBRARY needs UPLIFTING RAP SONGS for INDIE FILM. They're looking for the type of INSPIRATIONAL or ANTHEMIC HIP HOP used as "HYPE MUSIC" or "ENTRANCE MUSIC" for athletes. Imagine a more contemporary version of those great training montages from the Rocky movies, etc. Check out "The Fire" by The Roots http://bit.ly/S0MC8I and "Sure Shot" by Beastie Boys http://bit.ly/S1rZcL as great examples. MALE vocals only please. All tempos will be considered. Songs should be a minimum of two minutes long. Full artist-style pieces are needed, NOT instrumental loops, beats or library music. Broadcast Quality is needed (excellent home recordings are fine.) As always, do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists or their songs in any way, shape, or form! Regardless of the references above, NO SAMPLES of other songs or artists can be incorporated into your track. The estimated fee for this license will be $1,000 (possibly more). You will keep 50% of the total licensing fee and 100% of your writers share. If your song is placed in the film, the library will keep 100% your publishing for three years and then it reverts back to you. If your song is not placed, you will retain full rights to it. Please keep in mind that this is an Exclusive, non-retitling library. You MUST own or control 100% of the Master and Composition rights to submit for this listing and your song must not be affiliated with any libraries or publishers. Please do not submit songs containing "leased beats." Please submit one to three songs online. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS. No full critiques. ALL submissions must be received no later than Tuesday, October 30, 2012, 12:30PM PDT.

Re: 100% of publishing for 3 years?
I don't see that.
The estimated fee for this license will be $1,000 (possibly more).
You will keep 50% of the total licensing fee (50% of the $1000 synch fee) and 100% of your writers share.
If your song is placed in the film, the library will keep 100% of your publishing for three years and then it reverts back to you. If your song is not placed, you will retain full rights to it. (publishing reverts to you)
Ergo, you get 100% of writer's share, and 50% licencing. They get 100% of publishing (for 3 years) and 50% licencing.

Re: 100% of publishing for 3 years?
thank you for the clarification.
so there's no distinction between 100% of publishing and 100% of the publisher's share?
my understanding of "100% of publishing" includes both the publisher's and writer's shares.
is that wrong?
