How did I miss that? They're only my favorite band. Wasn't Indianapolis a Brian Henneman solo release, though?

Mazz, that one is jes plain good. And Billie's version of Stars Fell is damn good. That girl could do stuff with all five notes in her range toward the end that most singers couldn't do with four octaves. It's tragic that I loved her work more and more toward the end while she suffered so. Shame on me. Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd's response to Neil Young's Southern Man. Heh. Mentioned above but without the history lesson. I Love L.A. - Randy Newman. Cute video. He also looks like a tater. Also mentioned above but without the vegetable reference, which is eerily true. Check it out, you don't believe me. Mississippi - Dylan. Nuff said.Streets of Philadelphia - The BossNew York, New York - The Chairman's version, natch. Mentioned by mojo above but we should stipulate whose version was the best. Stuck Inside Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again - also Dylan. Also probably the longest title for a song I've ever seen. The boy could write though. Not his biggest fan. I think we know who that is around here. Jackson - Cash and Carter's version, natch. Atlanta - Stone Temple PilotsViva Las Vegas - Also mentioned above but seriously, nobody do this song like the King. Who is currently residing in Brazil gettin' fatter by the day and ain't nobody tell me different.

I get bonus points for Dylan's title. It has two cities in it! Hee! You can hand the crown on over. I graciously accept my appointment to the position of Ambassador of Super Long Titles. Thank you, thank you. No, no, please. Stay seated, please. Yes, I love you too! You rock! I would especially like to thank the little teeny people I shoved outta the way to get here......... Heh.

Wichita Lineman is a fantastic tune!! What a vibe that song sets. Yes, I have the same reaction Ern! Excellent!!I recommend checking out Webb's fairly recent album "Ten Easy Pieces". He plays piano and sings and it's great to hear his harmonic conception of these tunes all these years later. Cheers!!MazzEDIT: Oh man, let's not forget Webb's "Galveston", another great tune!!
