Hello,
I am working on a track for this listing. Any feedback will be really appreciate :)
https://soundcloud.com/laser-cookie/la- ... aenUMCprJL

Thanks !

Listing :
Original, 1960's-Style FRENCH POP SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a very successful EXCLUSIVE Music Licensing Company. This company has a very long history of lots and lots of really AWESOME placements, tons of which have been for TAXI members!

This Company is looking for Songs that would fall within the general stylistic wheelhouse of the following references we got directly from them:

"La javanaise" by Serge Gainsbourg

"Comment te dire adieu" by Françoise Hardy

"Le Temps de l'Amour" by Françoise Hardy

"Parlez-moi de lui" by Françoise Hardy

NOTE: You can submit recently recorded Songs in the general production style of the references; or, if you’ve got any vintage recordings (recorded back in the day), they would love to hear those as well!

Please submit original, 1960's-style French Pop Songs with compelling melodies, engaging rhythms, and excellent arrangements that could transport listeners to Paris. Instrumentation in the general style of the references will suit your submissions well. Please be sure your production is polished and any virtual instruments or sounds you use are high-quality and sound consistent with the era. Sultry, well-executed vocals performed in French could seal the deal for this Company!

Lyrics should avoid specific names, places, dates, times, brands, and profanity. Do NOT copy the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed. Era-appropriate Broadcast Quality will work for vintage recordings.

IMPORTANT! Per our client, your Submissions must:

1) NOT be encumbered by ANY other publishing, licensing, administration, and/or exploitation deals (whether non-exclusive or exclusive) including publishing/licensing agreements with CD Baby, TuneCore, DistroKid, etc.

2) Be 100% original – no soundalikes, Covers, and no recordings with samples.

This Company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, so the material you submit for this request CANNOT be signed with other publishers or catalogs. You must own or control your Composition and Master Recording to pitch for this opportunity. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022. TAXI # S220403FR

The one thing that could be improved is the drums. I'm not sure what you're using, but it sounds too modern and too canned. I'd look for a more authentic kit (I'm assuming it's Virtual).

I like it but agree about JohnLewitts comments on the drums , they seema little out of context a more retro sounding kit will help pull it together

Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. Yes it is a virtual drum and I will improve it with a more vintage VST. Good idea
But for this listing, it is too late I guess..., next time maybe
