2 forwards

Post by songmaster » Mon Feb 10, 2020 11:57 am

Hey everyone. Just found out I got 2 forwards for this listing. The songs are " Here Comes Love " and " We Belong Together ". It's a nice way to start the week after a bit of a dry spell. The songs are on my Taxi page ( alpha. order ), if you want to have a listen. Fingers crossed :)

Tom

S200206SS

Genre: Singer/Songwriter

Closes At: Feb 6, 2020 11:59PM PST
[LISTING EXPIRES TOMORROW]

Several SINGER-SONGWRITER SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by an extremely busy Music Licensing Company that’s expanding the catalog they routinely present to the Music Supervisors of several Daytime TV Series!

They want Songs in All Tempos in the stylistic ballpark of the references they gave us below:

“Bubbly” by Colbie Caillat

“Lucky” by Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat

“Realize” by Colbie Caillat

Please submit Singer/Songwriter Songs with engaging melodies, great lyrics, and polished vocal performances. Instrumentation can vary for this request, but should be predominantly acoustic-driven and in the general stylistic ballpark of the references. You can go with relatively simple, Stripped-Down Guitar/Vocal performances, as well as versions with a small ensemble.

TAXI Tip: You'd be wise to avoid submitting moody, dark, or depressing Songs for this pitch. Keep the mood of your Songs light and upbeat!

They didn’t specify any lyric themes; but if you can imagine hearing your lyrics fitting in with the references above, then you’re probably in the ballpark. Please avoid references to specific names, dates, times, places, brands, and profanity. Do NOT copy the referenced artists or Songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 deal. This Music Library splits ALL sync fees 50/50 with you. They’ll get 100% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll get 100% of the Writer’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright. Please do not send material that has already been signed to other libraries or catalogs. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Thursday, February 6th, 2020. TAXI # S200206SS

Congrats - will be looking for the placement post on the TAXI success board... right? :? :)
(PS: I see that NDF is pretty much your go-to production house - haven't tried them yet - maybe I need to).
Cheers, Amigo.

Congrats Tom!

Both your songs nail that vibe. I really the love the on-point hook of "Here Comes Love', nice writing!! I think I've heard "We Belong Together" before. Has that been placed? Or forwarded before?
And the production is not too shabby either ;) Good luck w both of them!
Best, John

I've heard " We Belong Together " before my friend and " Here Comes Love " is great too. Your brilliance shines through, as always. You are great at lyrics, melody, structure etc... All technical things but you're also humble in your approach to your continued success.
Tom.. you never cease to amaze this old dog with how your work fits right in with modern, mainstream music. Spot on, Tom! And I want some of that Mojo, to rub off on me. Don't hog it all. LOL

Congratulations, again on two well deserved forwards!!

Thanks Tom, Peter, John and Danny! I appreciate your feedback. Yes, John " We Belong Together " has never been placed ( yet ) but has been forwarded many times. Maybe this time's the charm :? Thanks Danny for your comments. I do try really hard on lyrics and melody etc. Sometimes I just down right cheat and steal their chords and write my own melody. Like having trainer wheels. P.S. I think your mojo is working pretty great lately
