2 Inspirational Forwards
Here is the listing:INSPIRATIONAL AND UPLIFTING INSTRUMENTALS in all styles are needed by a great Production Music Library/Publisher that has signed tons of TAXI members over the years, and has made money for many. These Instrumentals can be lush orchestral arrangements, simple/acoustic piano or guitar pieces, lilting/playful Alt Country/Singer-Songwriter tracks, etc. The only absolute must is that the overall tone is very inspiring, heartwarming and light. Think of a commercial where children are laughing, a couple is holding hands and walking along the side of a lake, a baby is playing and giggling with a grandparent, etc. - these pieces need to reflect a warm and glowing mood to support visual scenes of this nature. Tracks should ideally be between :60 and 3 minutes in length - you must be prepared to provide shorter edits with button endings, should the company contact you. Performances need to be excellent and broadcast quality is necessary - great home recordings should be just fine. Their deal is typically an exclusive agreement with a 5-year reversion clause. Please submit one to three tracks online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS ONLY - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than December 19, 2008. Nice work Big Blue!"I Said Too Much" sounds familiar...were you doing the environmentally friendly thing and recycling some beds? Way to go...both songs work for me!P.S. My lousy 10 year old laptop is generating artifacts like crazy on your second (acoustic) tune...but I guess it sounds good to everyone else, so I'm going to discount what I'm hearing (it does the exact same on my acoustic stuff too...weird....)

Big Blue, I never would have thought of a rock bed for this listing. I think it works and obviously so did the screener. Congrats!Steve

I had put the "I Said Too Much" song in Peer To Peer awhile back so you probably remember it from there. I've listened to the other one if a few different environments but haven't heard any artifacts on it.Dec 27, 2008, 11:07am, stevebarden wrote:Big Blue, I never would have thought of a rock bed for this listing. I originally wrote this piece for a Snow Patrol sound-a-like listing and kinda felt like it was a good fit for an inspirational type listing. I was so glad to see one of those listings come around so soon after I wrote it too! Even happier to get the forward and happier still that the new Y/N critiques leave room for the screeners to leave comments. For this song the comment was simply "Big Blue Barry -- I'm a fan!" That made my day Dec 27, 2008, 3:56pm, brindabella wrote:Hey, triple B! Amazing how you always hit the nail, congratz!!thanks brindabella... I wish I could say it was "always" but I had a couple of returns last week that I thought were certainly on the mark but I was wrong. I think I'm getting better at it though. Thanks David! If I only had guitars in the track, I probably wouldn't have submitted it, but I felt like the piano and strings helped put it into the inspiring/uplifting category. Thanks again!- Big Blue
