"2 minutes give or take" - What is the range?

Post by subinthompson » Fri Feb 14, 2020 8:23 pm

Dear Taxi Members!,

Hi, I am new to taxi. First of all, I thank the taxi team for making this platform and having this amazing opportunity to be with like-minded people.

I have a question regarding the usual taxi listing - "2 minutes give or take" - How long could that be? is 1 min 45 sec acceptable? 2 min 45 sec acceptable?
(I am sorry, if this question has already been asked, but I couldn't find it in the forums previous posts)

Subin,
I just received a custom critique for my very first submission, it clocked in at 1:46.
The screener told me that 1:45 would be short, 2:30 would be long for a 2-minute cue. Then they suggested having any cue I submit have its reverb tail decay trailing off at the 2:00 mark. I guess that means give take a few seconds! Of course, this is just one screener's advice. I am also very curious what the more experienced passengers have found.

Thanks for the replies!
Micheal's advice was great in the link.
So, i guess, as I understand, its no hard and fast rule, but a general guideline.
