2 versions of Happy Birthday

Post by LamarPecorino » Sun Sep 30, 2018 11:52 am

I'm finally getting around to posting some links to tracks that Conrad Wilson and I did for the following listing. Hope that the screener enjoys them. ;)

INSTRUMENTAL RENDITIONS OF “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” IN ALL GENRES, SUB-GENRES, and TEMPOS are needed by an experienced, fast-growing European Music Library with placements in Film, TV, and Commercials. NOTE: We purposely avoided putting references in this request, as we felt they could potentially be more misleading or limiting than helpful. This awesome company is open to hearing Instrumentals in most of the popular/commercially viable genres, including Pop, Rock, Adult Contemporary, Blues, Singer/Songwriter, R&B/Soul, Folk, Rap/Hip-Hop, Country, etc. Please submit Instrumental versions of the Happy Birthday song that are rhythmically and melodically engaging from start to finish. You’d be very wise to stick to the original melody so that your Instrumental is easily recognizable. If you stray from the original melody, your cover may not be as appealing or usable. Give them something that they haven’t heard before. However, don’t send anything that’s too wacky or outside-of-the-box for this pitch. Push the envelope, but only a tad ;-) Your Instrumental can range anywhere from very simple, stripped-down versions, to fuller productions with more instrumentation. Whichever genre or subgenre you’re pitching, be sure it has genre-appropriate instrumentation and production. Mid-to-Up-Tempo material is usually more easily placed, but if you have a really strong Down-Tempo Instrumental, feel free to take a shot! NOTE: Even though this request is pretty open, the bar will be extremely high. Only the best of the best will be sent to the client. Your track needs to jump out of the speakers for this pitch! Uninspired concepts, performances, and productions won’t be good enough for this pitch. They’re looking for versions that will make them say, “Wow, that’s cool!” While we aren’t giving specific time or length requirements for this request, please use common sense - somewhere in the general range of forty seconds to three minutes should do the trick. Avoid seven-minute jazz renditions, please! Non-Faded endings will work best for this request. Genre-Appropriate Broadcast Quality is needed. This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, so please be sure the songs you pitch for this opportunity are NOT already signed with any other Companies or Catalogs. Any sync fees will be split 50/50 with the Company. You'll get 100% of the Writer's share, and the Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher's share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit. Please submit as many Instrumentals as you'd like online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis - No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Sunday, September 16th, 2018. TAXI #Y180916HB
