My last year's coverage was better (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0J9DPNyTRI), didn't have a lot of time this year.
I fully agree with John (Mazz) and Steve btw, the GDC is *the* venue to attend if you are interested in a career as game composer. It really helps to plan well in advance. To give one example, there's a website http://www.game-connection.com which allows to set up meetings with prospective business contacts (game developers, publishers) in advance. I didn't get that until the GDC was already under way and was too late setting up meetings. Ah well - lesson learned - I'll do better next year. On the upside, I did go to the career development thing and dropped off my demo with a bunch of companies (EA, Blizzard, Ubisoft, etc). I don't really expect any gigs but you never know and networking is all important.
Hope to see you next year! (yeah you too John & Steve

ps on a side note there are GDC's year around around the globe (Austin, TX, Germany, Vancouver, China, etc).
