with the country submits its a difficult one as I think some of my tracks could work for country.
your voice is cool though, it does sound very original which rpobably limited your genres to indie rock.
I wanna have a bash at writing some country songs but nobody around here sings like that genre, the vocal styling is important (i think)

Aidy
One of the things new members don't always 'get' at first is how tightly coupled submissions are with specific listing criteria-- style, sound-like acts, etc. There is no "visualizing" a song done in a different style or interpretation. Especially with film/TV, though pretty much with all pitches, the song and recording have to hit it fairly close to the mark as submitted.
Country listings are usually the most selective, especially if they are for songs to pitch artists in Nashville.
As far as film/TV only using a clip from a song, I want to echo what's been said. When film/TV music folks (taxi screeners, music supervisors, libraries, publishers, etc) listen, they still listen for a good song with a good hook. If the song doesn't impress them in the first 30-60 seconds, there isn't much chance, even if there is a great section at 2:31. With instrumentals you sometimes have more options since you could edit off sections of 60-90 seconds as stand-alone tracks that hook the listener quickly.
Good luck! Hang in there!
