3 for 3 - A first for me! (QUIRKY & FUN INSTR)

Post by stevebarden » Mon Aug 04, 2008 12:22 pm

What a shock! This is a first for me. I had a 3-for-3 forward on the Quirky and Fun Instrumentals listing:QUIRKY AND FUN INSTRUMENTALS in a variety of styles are needed by an East Coast Music Library/Publisher who has signed and placed dozens of TAXI songs over the past several years. He's looking for left of center, unusual but accessible instrumental selections for a variety of TV projects. While he's looking for a unique sound, he's not interested in a dissonant tone overall. Tracks that are spare are just fine, as long as the mood is bright and fun. Instrumentation is open and arrangement can be explored liberally, but the tracks should be between 1:00 and 3:00 long. If he likes your track and is interested in offering a deal, he may also request :30 and :60 edits. He requests that your pieces have clear endings, no fadeouts. Excellent performances are necessary and the sound quality should be great. Broadcast quality is required [excellent-sounding home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than July 9, 2008. TAXI #S080709INThe review was very good, too. All 8's and 9's. Even this remark, "there's no way you can get a record deal with this kind of sound! congratulations!" I'll take it as a compliment...I think. Sweet! Way to go Jeff and Steve! 3 for 3 is rockin', cowboy. Nice going.I got one thru on this listing as well, for my tune Hanapepe Morning (it's on my TAXI page, http://www.taximusic.com/hosting/home.p ... t=ckbarlow). Went to Kauai with family in March and bought a little pineapple uke and, well, hijinks ensued.
