Ok, so I had been having a rather bad day up until about 5 minutes ago when I got an email with the results from the Hard Rock/Heavy Metal listing I submitted to:NEW HARD ROCK/HEAVY METAL SONGS NEEDED by an LA based Music Publisher seeking placement for tracks in Film/Video projects. Genres can encompass everything from Grindcore, Speed Metal, Indie Metal and Death Metal. Some references would include Blood Simple, Mastodon, System Of A Down, Iced Earth, Slayer, Black Mountain, P.O.D., Deftones, etc. A representative from the company will screen these submissions directly. He splits the license fee with you 40/60 [that 60% is for you] and doesn't take any publishing. Broadcast quality needed [excellent home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received by April 11, 2008.
