3 tracks signed :)

Post by hummingbird » Tue Oct 07, 2008 7:36 pm

This afternoon I received an offer from a music library to sign 3 pieces. I did submit these tracks outside of Taxi... however, I never would have the music at this level without the membership in Taxi - in fact, one of the pieces had been returned twice by Taxi screeners and rewritten twice according to their feedback, and was just recently forwarded for the first time, so I knew I'd reached the bar. I can't emphasize enough how valuable that kind of ongoing education & assessment is. It helps bring my music to the level where I can get forwards & deals with Taxi, and submit & get deals outside of Taxi too. It's a little library, but very good... they have relationships with some of the top tv shows. Thanks Taxi, for your part in this success -- and thanks again to all the forum members who have so patiently given me feedback for the past few years!Needless to say, I'm very pleased!

How can I possibly know if my music is ready "for the world"? Well, for me, once I started to get past those pesky Taxi screeners then "magically" my music became useful inside and outside of Taxi. In reality it was like you said... we use the critiques to evolve our music over time.Congratulations! Dave
