4 rap/hip-hop forwards

Post by WeWillWriteUaSong » Mon Jul 18, 2016 1:45 pm

A good week indeed! :D 2 rap songs forwarded and 2 hip hop cues forwarded. Big shoutouts to screener 398 for screening them all. :) This makes a great milestone number for the halfway point through my TAXI year. Go TAXI!

Marcus

The 2 vocal songs are on my TAXI page as Bring it Here and I Got A Habit and were for this listing:

CONTEMPORARY RAP SONGS with Male Vocals are needed for a $2,000, Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Supervisor placement in a new TV Series. They’re looking for Mid-Tempo Songs that would generally be considered to be in the ballpark of “Panda” by Desiigner. The Music Supervisor mentioned artists like Future and Travis Scott as well, so please review the following songs to get an idea of the vibe the Music Supervisor needs: WARNING: The following references have some graphic and explicit lyrics. Listener discretion is advised. “Panda” by Desiigner: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsJLLEwUYZM “3500” by Travi$ Scott: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVxMmMuTk60 “Where Ya At” by Future: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lw3Or6eqIpI Quoting the source: “This will be for background source for a party scene at a frat house. It needs to sound really current and lyrics must be clean, no swearing or ‘N’ words, as well as brand names.” Please submit edgy Rap songs that sound like a real-deal Radio Hit and/or Album Cut, with a bass-heavy, head-bobbin’ beat, and a vocal performance that’s filled with over-confident attitude. Lyric themes can vary, but should be something that’s generally heard in current Rap/Hip-Hop music, albeit, somewhat cleaner ;-). Although this will be used as background source, it would still be good for your lyrics to be universal, avoiding specific references to brands, places, times, names, and profanity. If you’ve got a killer song and the lyrics aren’t 100% universal, we think we might be able to be more lenient than usual for this pitch. Do not copy or rip off the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Please do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of other artists’ songs, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). The estimated license fee for this is $2,000.

And the 2 cues are under CaiNo BeaTZ - Take Note and Drop it Later on my page and the listing was:

CONTEMPORARY HIP-HOP INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed for a large number of NON-Exclusive Direct-to-Editor placements in shows produced by a really big TV Production Company. They're building an in-house Music Library that feeds music directly to the post-production supervisor of a popular Reality TV Show. The in-house Library will be made available to the entire editing team working on that show as well as ALL the other shows this extremely busy Entertainment Company produces! They're using TAXI as a leading resource to build their library, so this is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor with a lot of your music!! They need engaging Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumentals Cues that you'd hear on a playlist with artists like (but not limited to), Future, Drake, DJ Khaled, etc., etc., etc. Please listen to the following tracks to get in the general stylistic wheelhouse of what they need: WARNING: Some of the following references have graphic and explicit lyrics. Listener discretion is advised. "Diamonds Dancing" by Future: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGAPvMX1NpE "Still Here" by Drake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrMdyFiE_0g "I Ride" by DJ Khaled: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlUltXvhYrg Although the references have lyrics and vocals, please submit Instrumentals only for this pitch. Give them rhythmic Cues that have a fresh, contemporary sound and style. Your submissions should have plenty of forward movement, both rhythmically and melodically. Add and subtract various elements as the Cue progresses to keep it from sounding like a linear, one-dimensional beat. Imagine your submissions used as transitional music to between sweeping shots of a cityscape. That's what they're looking for! All submissions should be at least 2 minutes long. Good edit points and non-faded/buttoned endings will work best. Please do not rip off the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a guide for tempo, texture, tone, and overall vibe. Also, do not submit any material with unauthorized samples of other artists' songs, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine)

Well done, Marcus! :D

At risk of being redundant I repeat - you are an enthusiastic and delightful presence on this forum.

Much success with the forwards!
