posting this! Always looking for new resources to learn more, and compression is an incredibly important tool.

I remember when I went to Ronan Chris Murphy's Recording Boot Camp last year, somehow we got on the subject of
"Desert island" tools, basically asking Ronan what is the most important tool in his tool box (examples compression, eq, etc etc). He said without a doubt COMPRESSION would be the one tool he would have to have/couldnt record/mix without.

So, I guess learning how to using compression is pretty important!! I need more learning.... Thanks again.

Compression might be the hardest audio concept to grok, and you can't even start, without a good set of studio monitors. Worse yet, bad amplifiers, bad speakers and the air itself can produce compression unintentionally, so the more you can learn about it, the better.
