Great job Claire! A good song, and performed very well.I'll echo the detail-hungry posters as well, and beg for more details too!- did you submit as an outside writer, or as an artist? Your voice makes me think you can do either...

Re: A Country Forward!
Y080508COCONTEMPORARY COUNTRY SONGS needed by a Nashville producer for a new female artist a la Sara Evans, Patty Loveless, etc. This artist is twenty-one years old, so lyrics should reflect that age and time in one's life. Light love stories, looking to the future, dreams, falling in love, having fun, etc. are just a few ideas that might be appropriate for this artist. Catchy melodic hooks and a few twists & turns will also help your song to stand out. Be sure the tone is current & contemporary, with the classic elements of a great country song intertwined. Please submit 1-3 songs online or per CD, include lyrics. Submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received by May 8, 2008. TAXI #Y080508COSorry! I'm good at writing lyrics but not at writing posts! That's the listing and I submitted as an outside writer. The singer on that version of the song (we now have a pop version with a different singer) is a young lady named Lizzy McAvoy. She's 17 years old and I think she has a great future as both an artist and as a writer.I'll post the pop version too. I've submitted it for a few listings that haven't closed yet, so we'll see how that goes. It's pop/country, actually.Claire

Claire,Good song! Love the way that first word of the chorus REACHES out and grabs you. I think the pop version is a much better 'demo' for the song .. you can understand the words much easier.Dean
