Please submit ORIGINAL and well-crafted Children's Lullaby Instrumentals with a soft and relaxing vibe and lots of child-friendly sounds! Submissions should have sleep-inducing motifs, gentle sounds, peaceful melodies, relaxing rhythms, and dynamic arrangements with plenty of forward motion and interest throughout. Instrumentation that's in the general wheelhouse of the references will work best, such as mallets, acoustic guitars, pianos, strings, etc. Please make sure any virtual instruments or samples you use are high quality and not dated-sounding.

Your submissions should be roughly 2-4 minutes long, give or take. Non-faded endings will work best. Do NOT copy the referenced music in any way, shape, or form. Use it only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and overall vibe. Do not submit any material with unauthorized samples of other artists’ Songs, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.

I think this is a nice, calm idea. The accompaniment is hitting the lullaby mood well enough.

The violin sample, while convincing in some areas, still has a lot of dead give aways. You have moments where the vibrato is "blooming" but its not happening in a natural way (like when it repeats the F). If you have Key Switches, you might try switching to sustain/legato after the initial bloom and playing with some of the short notes for the repeated F.

That being said, making the featured instrument a sampled one might not get a lot of placements. You want the track to be 100% usable and there are moments that take me out of the music, which means they'd probably be equally distracting when set to picture (and, unfortunately, unusable). I would consider hiring a player or maybe recording the melody yourself on a different instrument?

Lastly, the violin sounds a little overly romantic and serious. A lullaby tends to be less serious and more gentle. Maybe a toy piano? Glockenspiel? Nylon string Guitar? Maybe Oboe?

Not an expert on this genre, I just have a baby and spend a lot of time trying to get her to sleep. : )

Hey John,
I had similar reservations about the violin, but couldn't find the right words to explain. It's as if a solo violin is 'too expressive' for this opp. The ref tracks all had the expected soft, tinkly leads.
